What is strength and conditioning?
Strength and Condition is…
- specific training programming, based on scientific findings to aid and benefit a desired goal.
- specific training that is tailored to the specific goal of a team or individual. It’s the opposite to a generic “fitness and exercise prescription”.
- a vital element of sports science.
- movement based, benefiting longevity of general wellbeing.
- overall monitoring of strength and fitness progression, as well as fatigue and wellbeing to help enhance performance outcomes.
How will it help?
Strength and conditioning can…
- increase lean mass and reduce fat.
- reduce risk of injury.
- increase general health and wellbeing.
- improve specific movements to benefit sporting performance.
- improve posture and correct muscle and movement imbalance, intern reducing pain in compensating areas of your body.
- help ‘peak’ performance at specific times of season/year to help achieve optimum performance outcome.
